Today, I decided to be a tourist in my own city.
I woke up at the crack of dawn, loaded my backpack up with water and a book, put on my walking shoes, and started hunting the city for a good breakfast place.
Since I was going to be a tourist, I might as well go all out. And decided to break my fast at the touristyest breakfast spot of all of Downtown LA: Eggslut.
Eggslut has a connotation of being hip, yummy, and a major tourist attraction. And that’s why I’m not surprised to find that the line has already started to wrap around the inside of the Grand Central Market.
Eggslut is the epitome of achieving the ultimate dream: have a passion, sell everything to start that passion, have people fall in love with your passion, and now you’ve got 2 hour long lines of customers happily waiting for their breakfast sandwich and coddled eggs. Started from a food truck and now they here!
The Slut has the added coolness factor of it coming in a cute jar and it’s pretty yummy. But Fairfax with bacon and avocado is the ultimate way to go. All that cheesy, eggy goodness sitting between warm fluffy brioche buns, ughhhhhh getting so hungry just thinking about it!!! And looking at that picture…bbl gonna go check out that 2hr line!
