For a little slice of Russia in Seattle, there’s no better place than Piroshky Piroshky. There is always a long line that winds around the corner, but don’t let that deter you. The line management is incredible and it moves pretty fast. This also means that you need to move fast when it’s your turn!
There’s a lot of delicious flavors to choose from, but there’s also plenty of friendly Seattleites in line to help give recommendations about their favorite flavors. The lady managing the line was also amazingly friendly. She patiently introduced me to Piroshkies: small hand held pies stuffed with a huge array of savory fillings. Here at Piroshky Piroshky, the piroshkies are individually made from scratch and they mold them into unique shapes so people can easily distinguish between the flavors.
I ordered the Chicken with mushroom and rice, and the beef and cheese piroshkies. Both were delicious. The outside was flaky and buttery, while the inside was warm and savory.
Do not let the looooong line scare you away. This is something definitely worth waiting for.
