Paris is fun and beautiful, but for a change of pace, we took a bullet train out to Brussels, Belgium. Because chocolates 😀
I fell in love with Brussels immediately. It’s a small town with amazing amount of art and beautiful architecture at every turn. And because we went in early December, all the streets were thoroughly decorated with Christmas lights. There was even a mini Christmas town all around the Brussels Stock Exchange, which was only 1 block away from our Airbnb. Winning!
Peck 47 was also just around the block from our Airbnb and I loved this place for breakfast. Cute decor, fluffy pillows, fresh and organic all the things, and the most delicious poached eggs that produced the most delicious yolk porn I’ve ever seen.
We ordered the Eggs Sausage Feast – 2 Poached Eggs on English Muffins with a Feast of Herbs Sausage & Homemade Hollandaise Sauce & the Veggie Peck’s Special – Homemade Portobello Mushroom Waffle, 2 Poached Eggs on Creamy Spinach & Psycho Sauce. Not sure what the Psycho part meant, but it was such yums!! The waffles were perfectly crunchy on the outside and still chewy and fluffy on the inside. And of course the beautiful egg porn from those poached eggs were mouthwatering delicious.
I’m totally in love with Brussels and wished we could have stayed there longer. Time to plan another trip!!
