This is where I go to hang out with friends. Why? Because they have valet parking in Koreatown, they open until 11pm which is late enough to hang at but earlier enough to not attract the drunks, annnnnnd the pork short ribs. Omg the ribs. I’m pretty sure i can eat 2 orders by myself. Looking beyond just how tender and amazing the meat is, it’s the sauce that really makes the dish. It’s spicy, and sweet, and tangy, and messy, and so so mouthwateringly good.
Ham Ji Park gives you food scissors to try and keep you looking civilized, but I ignore them and just go to town with my fingers. Ribs are finger food. No need to bring scissors and utensils into this. The plate comes out still sizzling. And once you get towards the bottom, there’s delicious onions that’s been caramelizing in the amazing sauce the whole time.
They have other amazing dishes that I love too when I need to change things up, the pork neck soup and yummy and warming. The Kimchi Rice in a stone bowl with pork is delicious and great to take to go. And the squid is great food to get when drunk. But I must always have at least 1 order of the pork short ribs. Omg just get it. Trust.
