Flavor of Spring – Los Angeles

Tucked away between the bustling Chinese family style restaurants, and packed Korean BBQ houses, is a little Vietnamese shop: Nha Trang Flavor. The ambiance and food were both light, refreshing, and just the thing I was craving to usher in Spring.

They have a small menu, but they definitely own each item on the menu.

We ordered the #BúnBòXào (Stir Fry Beef Vermicelli) – omg such bomb. It was light and flavorful, with sooooo much meat. The beef was tender and deliciously flavored just by themselves. And I love how I can control how much sauce I put in so my vermicelli never gets overly soggy and it’s never over sauced.

And we ordered the #PhởGà (Chicken Noodle) – the broth (which I’m always super picky about) was spot on: not too salty or too bland. And soooooo much meat again!! It was light and refreshing, with just the right amount of toppings. The crispy onions added a great crunch to it all.

Because I was feeling on the lighter side, we didn’t try the Bun Bo Hue or Bun Rieu, but I will most def go back to try it. And it’s such cheap too! That’s always a big a plus 😀
